Irish pubs
Directly opposite the ferris wheel depicted in previous photos, you can find these pubs. If you look closely you can find the reflection of the ferris wheel in some of the windows.
If you are ever in Enschede and fancy a nice pint of Guinness, Molly Malone is a nice place to get one ;)
Breath of fire
Last weekend there was this medievil midwinter festival going on in Enschede, organised by the Dragonheart foundation. One of the acts was fire breathing. With temperatures well below 0 degrees Celcius it gave a bit of warmth and a nice photo opportunity.
Winter spirits
Here you can see the ferris wheel from a different angle. Also a part of the ice rink is included. Due to the long shutter speed it is almost impossible to see the people who were ice skating when I took the picture. They have become very blurry in most cases. Others have a little more detail but are still ghostlike figures. Like winter spirits enjoying themselves :)
Ferris wheel on the Oude Markt in Enschede
In the month December there is this ferris wheel and an ice rink on the "Oude Markt" in Enschede. Unfortunately most of the snow has already melted again otherwise it would have given the picture that extra winter feeling. Nevertheless I still like it.
Time travel
This picture was taken with a 30 second shutter speed, apperture set to 11 and adjusting zoom from 55mm to 18mm in the first 2 seconds. Besides adding the borders no additional editing was done. The sensations of speed mixed with stationary objects like the houses and parked cars feels contradicting to me and keeps my focus on the picture.
